Modem, Inspected

  • July 29, 2005
I went this evening to the Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts to photograph the Atlanta landscape, only to be figuratively shot down by the lightning that appeared as soon as I arrived. A friend wants help getting a good shot of Atlanta for a website, and he suggested the spot atop one of the property's buildings. It's a good spot, so I'll be returning soon when there's less threat of high voltages using my body as a shortcut.

Matt, Tom and I detoured through IKEA today. That place is huge. It took us 5 minutes to find a parking spot underneath the building, in one of the two levels of parking deck underground. Go visit sometime, but you might want to wait until the end of the tax-free weekend if you don't already have purchasing plans. There were thousands of people in there today.

I'm getting to really like these 30-degree slanted shots, hm?

Don't worry, Jenn. I'm definitely up for another run.

the 30 degree slant really caught my eye too. it works really well and makes the shot much more dynamic.
