With Tom downtown last night, the usual four of us played Cranium twice. It's a diverse game that's a lot of fun, but the cards vary wildly in difficulty which makes the game feel unfair at times. Still, I thought it clear that Tom ruled the game; he figured some of the cryptic charade clues that I gave, and he returned very good charades. "Humdinger", which requires humming or whistling a semi-popular tune, is far more difficult than one might think. Some of the more difficult cards: spell "bookkeeper" (should just be multiple choice - does "bookkeeper" have one or two k's? I got it wrong), charade the word "tofu" (the clue was "food", so I started naming all sorts of categories and never really got close), and hum "My Sharona" (hearing Matt and Jen do this at the same time was hilarious).
At the end of the evening we said our farewells to Tom; he'll be off for Boston on Saturday. Cheers!
