Hydrous
My First UHR Meeting
- October 12, 2005
Facebook hack of the day: view the full photos of people who aren't your friends. Simply copy the URL of the person's thumbnail photo and change the "t" at the start of the jpg filename to "n" (n for "normal" instead of t for "thumb") and you can see the person's full-size photo.
Life update!
Current personal projects: Stikkies (DHTML and AJAX-based sticky notes); the new Hydrous Scheduler (pending help from the registrar and SGA, which has recently become more likely); a Sudoku solver; learning more about the Windows video architecture (GraphEdit and DirectShow filters)
Current work projects: learning Flash to create audio-narrated PowerPoint slideshows.
Future projects: converting the structure of the photoblog to CSS instead of tables; adding search abilities to the photoblog; creating a simple file transfer program that works in Windows and MacOSX, at least.
Anyone know how GUI-based programs are typically written for the Mac?

Ben - that's true. I think he was glancing at the agenda in front of Saira.
Jen - I found a non-authoritative article on <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/ wiki/Quotation_mark">Wikipe dia</a>, but I agree with it concerning the punctuation. See "Typographical considerations".

I definitely agree with Jenn about the quotations. If they're specific spoken phrases, then you must adhere to the standard rules.

The rules are different in different places, and they're changing in the US anyway. Read the wiki article.
