Jet Airplane Jet

  • December 31, 2005
Yesterday I joined Charles, Amanda, and Ariel for a photostroll in Macon (where Charles lives). We visited a US Air Force flight museum near Warner Robbins AFB, then returned to a retired train yard, photographed an old silo (which was inhabited by a "homeless man with social anxiety"), and finally retreated to a field outside Macon whose darkness provided a nice view of the stars. Of course, the full photo set will be posted to hPhoto later, but tonight I'll be busy heading to Bela's for a New Year's Speakeasy.

oh cool, this was the propeller that had alternating mobile and immobile blades. i've got some shots of you with your camera pointed inside propellers or jet exhaust areas. =)

Is it just me or are there large dents in the jet blades?

Aye, the immobile ones are called stator vanes if I remember correctly. And the 'dents' likely are dents. You know, from dust, birds and other particulate matter.
