Rag on the Nose of a Plane
- January 7, 2006
Classes start on Monday. I've got a schedule of three classes that I picked based purely on their outline and summaries. It's a stark difference from the hand-holding we got as undergrads, where we had so many predefined classes and only a few real choices. In contrast, the master's program is basically 30 open hours with only a few set classifications that we must follow, but there are no predefined classes that everyone must take. This basically makes it exactly what I wanted: a good way to learn more without having to take classes that are a waste of time. I find myself wanting to take classes that matter, those that will actually give me the most knowledge, not simply the easiest ones that will fulfill my requirements. That's a good thing, I'd say.
