Back on the Pile!

  • February 18, 2006
I braved the cold wet air this afternoon (okay, "braved" is a bit much) to shoot some GT Rugby action, further impressing upon myself my lack of understanding of this game. I realize that it's a lot like football except it's much harder to be "down", which actually makes it much more fun to watch. There is a lot less downtime than in football, where there's up to 10 seconds of action during each play, followed by 45 seconds of reorganization, chatting over radios, and generally being boring. Rugby, on the other hand, tends to stay more active.

This weekend I will be buried in my CS project, which is due Monday. The server is practically finished, but now I must build a multithreaded client that can send a barrage of requests to the server for durability testing. This means I'll probably be in one of the CS/ECE labs either tomorrow or Monday evening, testing on real Linux machines (as opposed to the virtual RHEL4 server I'm running at the apartment, thanks to VMWare's recent server release).
