Speaking to a Full House

  • April 7, 2006
Nobel Laureate Wolfgang Ketterle spoke today in Howey Physics (here at Georgia Tech) to a huge crowd of Physics majors and non-majors alike. I barely understood any of the content, but he's a good speaker and the talk was interesting anyway.

To Jennifer: Nanokelvin atoms are atoms at temperatures in the nanokelvin range, where one nanokelvin is 1/1000 000 000th of a degree. Prof. Ketterle and his co-workers currently hold the world-record for creating the coldest material in the world.
