Wild Gobbler

We visited a new residential development near Asheville while on our recent vacation, and on the way up the mountain we had to pause to allow several wild turkeys to cross the road. This is an adult turkey that was guarding between 10 and 20 young turkeys as they poked and prodded around the grass beside the road. Jokes concerning the turkeys' reason for crossing were made and groans were heard.
