Bicycle Lanes are Fantastic

Bicycles are in a tough situation: too fast for sidewalks, yet too slow for the main road. When they have their own lanes things work much better.

Sorry to be all "in montreal they do this", but in montreal, they had bike lanes on the inside of the parking lane, so that bikes get shielded from traffic. It was brilliant!

Sorry to be all "in portland they do this", but in portland, they have dedicated avenues, intersections, and bridges and bike-only sections of town. It is brilliant! :P

Sorry to be all "in Atlanta they do this", but in Atlanta, just assume you're going to die. Except on this two mile stretch in Atlantic Station.
