Great photo. My monitor is annoying me though. When I viewed the photo on the white background of my rss reader, it looked great and contrasty. Now on the gray background of your webpage, it looks overexposed and washed out. This monitor is weird.

What you're probably seeing is the HDR effect in this photo, which compresses the dynamic range.

I love how detailed the leafless tree looks without oversharpening it.
