More Screws Than Necessary

  • July 7, 2005
Carpentry has succeeded! I replaced the crappy particle-board shelves that were bolted to the wall of my closet, which had two screws in sheetrock holding all the weight of the shelves' centers, causing them to sag into uselessness. These new bad boys are vertically supported in the center by the floor, and every joint has an average of 56 screws. I think that's about sufficient.

I am so pround of you young mad. Don't let dad tell you there are too many screws; if I had saggy particle board I would over compensate too.
