What anice Day

I love that point in the year where snow is possible and ice is common. If I ever moved to a place where snow was common, I think I'd be one of those dorks that everyone hates because I'd keep loving the snow even though the rest of my peers loathe it. Matt and I will most likely go and sign our paperwork for the new apartment today and start moving in tomorrow.

Looking forward to:

Wiring up the network connections
Setting up AV equipment
Arranging my room
Having so much more space than I've ever had to myself
Hanging out with friends for the weeks until school starts

Not quite looking forward to:

Figuring out how to transport things that won't fit in my car (Dad's truck will be involved)
Paying crazy bills for cable and cable internet
Having no idea what the gas bill will look like
Having to work and run errands while friends are in town

Finally, I would like to give megathanks to Amanda for hosting Hobbes (and thus Hydrous) for a little while as the funds build up enough for a colocation to become affordable. The goal is to build a new machine to replace Hobbes (sorry Hobbes!), in a rack-mount case, and lease space to friends to subsidize the awesome server setup that a colocation allows.
