Katie in the Radio Looking Glass

  • January 28, 2006
Yesterday I attended the High Museum's college night with Katie and Matt, which is basically when the High entices us with cheap tickets and a live (and very loud) band. I usually have mixed feelings in museums; some exhibits are very interesting either visually or historically, but then many others are simply "blah" to me. On the other hand, simply attending the High feels "high class", and it lends itself well to photography when they're not telling me that I'm not allowed to take photos, for no particular reason.

Today I went home for a bit to help my parents move piles of dirt that remained after their new driveway was installed last week. The aches are starting to set in, and I doubt that I'll want to move at all tomorrow. I'll have to get my CS 4210 homework done from my futon, so I'll have to make sure to leave the laptop nearby.

The High is so much better than it was in the past. The new addition makes it feel like a real art museum.

Every time I go to the High, I see something new and exciting. Yes, there are definitely dull exhibits, but the new wing (like Matt said) really added to the museum as a whole. Fun times! Oh, and great photo. I approve. haha. That was an awesome radio!!! :)
