Now that Pixar is part of Disney and John Lasseter has clout with the big mouse, he's quickly shown that authority by
terminating production on Toy Story 3. While it's scary to think of someone like Lasseter taking over the world (actually it wouldn't be so bad), this is very good news for Pixar as a creative group to prevent them from being associated with the lame cash grab, even though Pixar was not involved in the production other than the legal exploitation of its previous work. It's completely possible that Toy Story 3 was going to live up to its sibling films, but given Disney's track record in the animated story world as of late, I think we can all feel comfortable with this news without the pangs of "what could have been".
