DC is crowded by tour groups a-plenty. When we visited the National Archives on Wednesday, it became quite difficult to find a place in front of the US Constitution as our turn arrived. While many of the adults were following an orderly left-to-right trend, the touring kids decided to run straight for the Constitution, paying no attention to the line and generally making it difficult for others to view the document. Rather than the group phasing out over time, it kept getting replenished with new kids, and I just didn't feel like shoving through a bunch of 10-year-olds. After waiting 10 minutes for the crowd to move, I ended up leaning over the first page and giving up on the rest. Oh well.
